Huawei’s EMUI is one of the more divisive Android skins around, but the Chinese brand has done a great job of improving it over the years. EMUI 10 was officially unveiled at Huawei’s Developer Conference along with a few details about when to expect the EMUI 10 beta release.
According to Huawei, the EMUI 10 beta will be available for the Huawei P30 series from September 8, 2019. There’s no word if the beta will be available for global users on this date, or if it will be restricted to the Chinese market.
The company adds that the EMUI 10 beta will also be accessible on Huawei Mate 20 series — i.e. the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, and Mate 20 RS). Huawei didn’t reveal any launch timelines or markets for the beta here either.
The Chinese brand hasn’t revealed much about EMUI 10 at the conference — where it also revealed its open-source HarmonyOS platform — although it’s confirmed that it features a better dark mode (including APIs for third-party developers), and improved cross-device connectivity. The conference is scheduled to end on August 11, so we might learn more about the new update yet.
We’ve contacted Huawei representatives for more details regarding the EMUI 10 beta roll-out, and will update the article accordingly. What would you like to see in EMUI? Give us your thoughts below!
