How to Download Torrent Faster

Using a torrent
is one of the most popular ways to download
file through
the web. There are many popular torrent sites. And for faster downloads there
some adjustments that need to be for your settings.
Here are tips for faster torrent downloads:

1. Use a Light Torrent Client

To increase the speed of downloading a torrent, the first step you need to follow is to install a lightweight torrent client. Although BitTorrent is one of the most popular torrent clients, BitTorrent comes with many great applications and other features. So, I prefer uTorrent for easier and faster torrent downloads. You can also install qBittorrent because it is a fairly lightweight torrent client.

The reason for using a lightweight torrent client is because it only focuses on downloading the torrent and accelerating the transfer rate. utorrent and qBittorrent are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

2. Use Clean Torrent

Clean in the sense here is: You need to understand the concept of seeders and leecher. These two terms always confuse new torrent enthusiasts, so here I will try to clear your doubts in simple language.

Seeder is a person who has a complete copy of the files that are shared across the network that you want to download. However, a leecher is a person who does not have a complete copy of the file and has joined the network to download a file. After leecher downloads the file completely, it will become a seeder.

For high torrent download speeds, the number
The seeder must be higher than the number of leechers. The more number of seeders,
the cleaner your torrent.
So, when choosing a torrent, make sure the seeder-leecher ratio is high.

3. Add Exceptions to Windows Firewall

A firewall can block your torrent client or you can just say service connection
slow torrent, but that's not necessarily. So, add an exception to the Windows firewall
would be a good option to increase download speed on a torrent. For
Adding exceptions to the torrent navigate to the Options> menu
Preferences> Connections
. Now check the box Add Add Windows Firewall exception click Apply.

*** Note: Don't turn off Windows Firewall
permanently because it's the same as leaving your PC open to attack
various viruses, spyware and other malicious programs.

4. Change the Number of Connections

Now you can change the number of connections to avoid overloading. I can suggest to you some basic numbers that can increase download speed on a torrent.

Navigate to Menu properties> Bandwidth then set Global to the maximum number of connections to 150 and the maximum number of peers connected to torrent to 100. Leave the upload slot in the default configuration.
